As a high-growth digital out-of-home (DOOH) media startup, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to help build and manage the accounting function. Responsible for month-end close, revenue recognition (ASC 606), revenue share calculations, payroll, audit readiness and taxes. CPA and startup experience preferred.
What you get to do:- Close & Reporting: Own the monthly close and maintain US GAAP books; prepare and deliver the monthly financial reporting package to management.
- Accounts Payable: Oversee the AP function - ensure vendor payments, reimbursements, and card transactions are coded and processed on time in Ramp, and that spending follows the company's budget approval process.
- Accounts Receivable & Revenue: Oversee billing, collections, and cash application; own revenue recognition under ASC 606, including revenue-share calculations.
- Lease Accounting: Maintain lease schedules and ensure compliance with ASC 842, including proper classification, measurement, and reporting.
- Payroll: Partner with HR on payroll processing and commission calculations; review payroll for accuracy, ensure proper recording and accruals in the GL, and support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax and benefits reporting.
- Audit & Tax: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and the external CPA firm; support the annual audit and ensure timely filing of corporate tax returns.
- Compliance: Manage multi-state registrations and ongoing compliance filings.
- Systems & Controls: Strengthen internal controls and lead ERP selection and migration as the business scales.
Who you are:- 5-8+ years relevant experience including team leadership.
- CPA preferred; BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong US GAAP/ASC 606 expertise; hands-on rev rec or contract cost experience.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and bill/payroll tools; ERP experience (NetSuite/Intacct) preferred
- Clear communicator, process builder, and results-driven operator.
- Programmatic ad revenue or revenue share experience preferred.
- Multi-state/sales tax, cross-border payments, or vendor tax documentation preferred.
- First-year audit or ERP migration exposure preferred.
- English/Chinese bilingual preferred.
The base pay range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
