Job Description:

Strategic/Corporate Responsibilities

  • Manages client relationships and resolves functional conflicts through consultation with department/group heads.
  • Responsible for profitability for one account with a focus on execution within budget and a keen sense of opportunity for growth.
  • Ability to think critically/strategically to approach challenges from a thoughtful and unique perspective that prioritizes doing the work "right" to drive the business over checking the box.
  • Provide personal leadership in client relations and in internal administration of accounts.


Daily Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns and projects to assure earnings, growth and profit goals are achieved.
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and initiatives across departments including campaign development, strategic leadership, TV/video/broadcast, radio, digital, social, print, collateral, ambassador/testimonial development.
  • Exhibits a willingness to solve problems by relying on proven experience in order to forge new approaches.
  • Plans, develops, and defends budget recommendations, work goals, measurement and training requirements necessary to provide both quality and profitable service.
  • Development of project scopes and fee and OOP costs in alignment with project deliverables and assumptions for workstream steps.
  • Closely manages project budgets for time and OOP against the scope and collaborates with finance to lead development of monthly reconciliation reporting.
  • Willingness and mastering of MLR submissions including uploading, tagging and linking and process management from origination to asset approval through Novartis' proprietary FUSE platform.
  • Collaboration and management with partner agency for deliverables against the media plan including kick-off calls and spec alignment, asset handoff, creative rotation recommendations and ongoing asset performance discussions to inform creative optimizations.
  • Assures that client relationships remain harmonious and that the clients receive a quality of service that will encourage further growth and profitability.
  • Integrates into client team environment, is accessible for the strategic needs of the client and partners with them on their overall advertising/marketing concerns.
  • Maintains open and complete communications of client issues with functional leaders and agency management.
  • Contributes and flourishes in a culture where creativity and inventiveness can thrive - a mentality where "Yes, and" can shine.
  • Ensures that staff works in conformance with agency policies, procedures and public law.
  • Facilitates and promotes agency and corporate initiatives.
  • Ensures that the resources of the agency, department by department, are deployed with continued maximum effectiveness to service client interests.
  • Oversee, supervise and mentor Assistant Account Executive.
  • As needed, participates in new business initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical category and, specifically, Novartis experience is a must
  • Familiarity with:
    • Internal regulatory entities
    • FUSE
    • FDA guidelines/processes
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical/healthcare marketing best practices/requirements
  • Experience engaging with internal or external media teams and understanding of media deliverables/landscape
  • Adept at finance and reconciliation management
  • Desire to drive organic growth from existing clients
  • Collaborative, team player that works well with internal departments and external agency partners




Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
