ACCOUNT MANAGER - ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS MANAGEMENT:
We are looking for an experienced Music Business Account Manager with well-rounded tour accounting experience to join our team of talented and motivated people. Overview of Role: The Account Manager acts as the primary point of contact for all client-related needs, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finances of their assigned clients, and oversees a staff of bookkeepers.
A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience in full-charge accounting and bookkeeping for high net-worth individuals, preferably within entertainment business management
• A minimum of 3+ years' experience in the Entertainment Industry as an Account Executive/Manager or relevant role in a Music Business Management Firm with Tour Accounting experience
• 3+ years of experience in the client services
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is highly preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of the general ledger, AP/AR, insurance, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial statements
• Prior experience in a Management role
• Excellent communication skills (in person, on the phone, and via email)
• Solid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.e., communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.)
• Sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow through
• Commitment to professionalism, timeliness, and accuracy
• Able to work independently, prioritize and maintain recurring tasks with minimal supervision
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and databases
• Experience with AgilLink, DataFaction, Quickbooks, Bill and/or Imaging Software is highly preferred
Responsibilities:
• Daily client financial activity, including requests and timely follow up on all outstanding matters
• Review work of bookkeepers and approvals (AP/AR, cash receipt and journal entry coding, general ledger, payroll, and financial statement review)
• Review bank balances and statements and approve transfers as needed
• Monitor credit card activity, fraud alerts, and credit score issues
• Monitor insurance renewals and claims
• Assist with home and car purchases
• Daily client financial activity, including requests and timely follow up on all outstanding matters
• Other ad hoc projects, as needed
• Effective and appropriate communication with client, client reps, and client employees
• Aid in team training and workflow organization, set goals for performance and deadlines, monitor productivity and growth against benchmarks; ensure tasks are learned in a timely manner
• Prepare budgets with cash projections, financial reports and supplemental schedules
• Prepare client presentations and contribute to client meetings
• Hard ticket settlement tracker review, analysis, and reconciliation
• Oversight of Merchandising statements tracking, analysis and reconciliation
• Preparation and completion of tax packages
• Identify and proactively manage foreign touring, insurance, and tax mitigation issues
• Review and understand various contracts and create summaries
• Royalty Statement analysis
