Position Overview

Expand relationships that accelerate next-generation therapies. As FUJIFILM Biotechnologies' Account Director for Advanced Therapies, you will unlock growth across a portfolio of strategic biopharma accounts-expanding scope, deepening partnerships, and aligning our global network's capabilities to program needs. You'll operate across FUJIFILM Biotechnologies and the broader FUJIFILM Life Sciences Cell Therapy network (including FUJIFILM Biotechnologies California and FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics), translating opportunity into impact for patients and measurable top-line growth. Job Description

What you'll do
  • Own retention and expansion: Deliver net revenue retention and expansion targets within a defined portfolio; identify whitespace and drive cross-sell/upsell across the CGT value chain.
  • Lead executive account strategy: Build multi-year account plans and QBRs with R&D, CMC, MSAT, QA/RA, Procurement, and Legal stakeholders; establish executive sponsorship and governance.
  • Translate science to value: Position capabilities spanning process and analytical development, tech transfer, scale-up, GMP manufacturing, QC/release testing, comparability, and PPQ.
  • Navigate complex commercial constructs: Shape and negotiate MSA/SOW/QoA, pricing frameworks, and change controls; align scope, risk, and timelines with capacity and quality requirements.
  • Drive disciplined execution: Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline hygiene, and stage conversion; keep systems and leadership current with data-driven updates and risks/mitigations.
  • Represent the brand: Lead presence at priority conferences and tradeshows; convert visibility into qualified expansion opportunities.
  • Partner for delivery: Work closely with Program Management and sites to ensure proactive communication, on-time milestones, and high sponsor satisfaction; anticipate capacity needs with Demand Planning.
  • Capture the voice of the customer: Provide structured feedback to inform solution roadmaps, differentiation, and win rates.

Technical sophistication expected
  • Modalities and platforms: AAV and Lentiviral vectors; iPSC/PSC-derived cells; immune cell therapies (e.g., NK/T); plasmid and mRNA; upstream/downstream PD/AD and scale-up.
  • CMC/GMP fluency: Phase-appropriate development from pre-IND to BLA; QbD principles; tech transfer, comparability, PPQ; QC methods, release/stability; change control and deviations.
  • CGT operations: Chain of identity and chain of custody integrity; cryopreservation and cold-chain logistics; audit readiness and regulatory expectations.
  • Enterprise buying dynamics: Comfort influencing multi-stakeholder decisions across science, quality, regulatory, legal, and procurement.

Minimum experience requirements
  • 5+ years of senior-level experience in biopharma/CDMO (account management, business development, or program management) with a track record of growing complex, multi-site accounts.
  • Proven success managing long-cycle, multi-stakeholder expansions (from evaluation and SoW shaping through signature), with strong forecast accuracy.
  • Established network across CGT leaders and influencers; credibility with scientific and executive stakeholders.
  • Advanced negotiation, presentation, and business writing skills.

The US salary range for this position is $134,200 to $201,300.
