OVERVIEWModern Treasury is hiring Account Executives to join our Sales team. While we've been in business for eight years and have powered over $400 billion in payments for hundreds of organizations, our PSP product is a newer motion - and we're looking for people to help us scale it and close the strong inbound demand we're seeing.
This is a high-volume closing role with real depth: you'll run a large, fast-moving pipeline of new opportunities. While many deals move quickly, others call for a more strategic, consultative sell. We're looking for AEs who can do both. Success in this role looks like consistently converting qualified opportunities into new logos.
You'll sell primarily to founders, CTOs, and heads of product. You should be excited to develop deep product fluency, so you can be comfortable selling a technical, API-first product. You'll own your pipeline end to end, guiding prospects from first conversation to live customer, and partner with Sales Engineers on the technical evaluation. You'll also drive expansions and cross-sells across our existing customers.
REQUIREMENTS- 3+ years of Sales experience in closing deals
- Bonus: experience selling a payments product, or working with stablecoins
- Superior verbal and written communication, presentation and relationship management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- BA/BS required
During your first week you will:- Meet the team and onboard onto the sales tools
- Develop an understanding of the payments landscape
- Build an understanding of how companies use Modern Treasury
During your first 4 weeks you will:- Build a deep understanding of our brand positioning, sales process, and customer stories
- Shadow sales calls and listen to pre-recorded sales calls
- Review proposals and supporting resources you can use during the sales cycle
- Run your first sales calls
- Build your pipeline
During your first 12 weeks you will:- Independently manage and develop your pipeline
- Close your first customers
- Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and improve our sales process
- Communicate customer needs and requirements to Product and Marketing teams to inform our product roadmap
