Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational areas and laboratories related to toxicology
  • Manage GLP toxicology, pharmacology, agrochemical, chemical, and pharmaceutical testing
  • Conduct animal health assessments, necropsies, clinical pathology, and histology
  • Guide and provide technical support to specialists at various levels
  • Lead the animal care committee and stay updated on animal practices and drug development
  • Establish clear goals and perform annual staff evaluations
  • Mentor staff for both professional and scientific growth
  • Assess staffing needs and support recruitment efforts
  • Handle budgets, documentation, and client communications

Full Job Description
Our bioparma client provides essential toxicology and laboratory testing services to worldwide biopharmaceutical organizations developing new molecules. vaccines, medical devices, drugs. They require a Toxicology Leader to join CRO senior management.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee management of ALL operational areas and laboratories related to toxicology.
  • Responsible for GLP toxicology, pharmacology, agrochemical, chemical, safety, pharmaceutical testing.
  • Animal health, necropsy, clinical pathology, histology.
  • Guide and offer technical support to specialists at all levels.
  • Lead animal care committee, literate re current publications on animal practices, drug development.
  • Set clear goals and objectives, and perform annual staff evaluations.
  • Provide mentoring/coaching for both professional and scientific development of staff.
  • Identify and predict staffing requirements and help out with recruitment.
  • Budgets, documentation, client liaison activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MS or PhD in life sciences combined with > 15 years within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Strongly prefer acknowledged leader in the CRO industry.
  • Visionary, leading above mentioned operational groups toward future growth and development.
  • French English bilingual essential.
  • GLP background.
  • Toxicology experience essential.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience in work optimization within large groups is an asset.
  • Staff management, coaching, mentoring.
