Full Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:Full-time Field Engineer position supporting the AEGIS Electronic Cooling Water Systems (ECWS). The Associate Field Engineer position requires extensive shipboard travel and duties that include performing a chelate flush of the AN/SPY-1 Radar System and operations and maintenance control of the DDGs and CGs in the fleet.

Position Duties:
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and 4 - 6 years of experience or no degree and 8 - 10 years of applicable experience.
• Must have knowledge and experience in mechanical and electrical tasking.
• Must have installation experience with ability to read and follow Tech Manual instructions.
• Must be able to read and utilize technical documentation (diagrams, schematics, etc.)
• Must be able to perform mechanical and electrical requirements.
• Must be able to use power, hand tools and test equipment.
• Must be able to work as a team member and/or lead performing routine tasks.
• Must be able to conduct material kitting, staging, assembly, packaging, loading, shipping and receiving material.
• Must be able to inventory and control piece parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies and tools.
• Must be able to support extensive field work assignments.
• Must be able to support installations of shipboard systems/equipment.
• Must be able to understand and follow the shipboard tagout lockout procedures.
• Must be able to take responsibility for action items assigned, complete the actions and provide status reports.
• Must be able to complete required training and obtain an OSHA course prior to travel.
• Must be able wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when entering a shipyard or boarding a ship.
• Must be able to receive and maintain a security clearance.
• Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to write, speak and present clear, detailed technical monthly reports.
• Must be able to complete timecard on a daily.

Preferred Skills:
• Navy A / C School (FC)
• Experience with Navy Field/Shipboard maintenance/installation work.

Physical Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to meet extensive (50 - 75%) travel requirements.
• Must be able to climb shipboard ladders.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
