Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Contract Administrator or Contract Administrator. This position will be located at our Space sector in Redondo Beach, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Deployables Operating Unit.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates contracts awarded within the Northrop Grumman organization. Supports customer contact activities to provide for proper contract administration in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Supports proposal preparation; preparing written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.
- Responsible for processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
- Under general supervision, developing solutions to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.
- Assisting management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.
- Maintaining contract data into Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System.
- Ensuring timely delivery of all contractual deliverables and submission of invoices.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Contract Administrator:
- Has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 0-2 years of related experience.
- Having majored in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Contract Management, Government Contracting, Legal Studies, Pre-Law, or similar fields.
- Ability to meet high-performance expectations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to Defining Possible with the Contracts team.
- Interest in developing experience with a variety of contract types and related processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Basic Qualifications for a Contract Administrator:
- Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution with 0 years of experience.
- Be majoring in or having majored in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Contract Management, Government Contracting, Legal Studies, Pre-Law, or similar fields.

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
- Previous internship or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
- Demonstrated ability to present information clearly and confidently, with strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Highly self‑driven, with a strong learning mindset and a desire to contribute to a team setting.
- Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
Salary Range:
Associate Contract Administrator: $ 63,00 to $94,600
Contract Administrator: $ 75,800 to $ 113,800

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
