Job Summary

We are seeking a collaborative and student-centered Teacher on Special Assignment (Instructional Specialist) to support inclusion, intervention, and family outreach for students with disabilities. Working closely with school teams, families, and community partners, this position serves as a bridge between home and school by fostering positive relationships, strengthening communication, and promoting inclusive educational practices. The Instructional Specialist provides guidance, professional learning, and resources to support IEP teams, assists with the development of inclusive practices and intervention strategies, and helps ensure students with disabilities receive meaningful access to educational opportunities in the least restrictive environment. This role is ideal for an experienced special education professional who is passionate about collaboration, family engagement, and improving outcomes for all students.

Requirements / Minimum Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid California Special Education Credential (Education Specialist, School Psychologist, or Speech Language Pathologist)
  • Evidence of successful secondary teaching experience
  • Strong background in inclusion and intervention
  • *Bilingual highly desireable

Salary

$71,571 to $103,136 (To start yearly based on full-time assignment. Part-time assignments will be prorated)

  • Pay dependent on experience
    • Candidates with two or more years of full-time K-12 public school experience start on step 3. (This is the maximum starting step)

2026-27 School Year | 186 Days
