High Tech High is a network of charter schools in San Diego, California. The schools focus on project-based learning and integrate technology into their curriculum. The first High Tech High school was founded in 2000 by a group of educators and industry leaders who wanted to create a new model of education that would prepare students for the 21st century workforce. As of 2021, there are 16 High Tech High schools serving over 5,000 students in grades K-12. The schools have been recognized for their innovative approach to education and have been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times and Wired.
