Title: Registered Nurse ($39.84 to 57.11 hourly/37.5 hrs per week)

Division: Clinical Services

Affiliation: ONA (Ontario Nurses Association)

Site: Fort Albany, ON

Reports to: Director of Patient Care

Status: Permanent Full-time (Start as soon as possible)

Eligible for WAHA Sign-on Bonus (up to $20,000), Employee Referral Bonus (up to $5,500) & Retention Program

What You'll Do
  • Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments
  • Engage in community program development
  • Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition
  • Participate in community needs assessment
  • Address and document symptoms and changes in patients' conditions
  • Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
  • Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families
  • Conduct disease screening
  • Deliver health education programs
  • Deliver immunization programs
  • Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
  • Engage in research activities related to nursing
  • Manage home care cases
  • Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
  • Provide nursing care
  • Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
  • Day, Night, On-Call, Ove-time, Weekend/Work must be completed at the physical location, no option to work remotely
  • Work setting in hospital medical setting or clinic
  • Languages: English
  • Supervision 1-2 people
