10629 - Business Process Analyst III

Location: Irvine, HQ

Role Overview:

Analyze, define, and develop the organization's business process methods and practices. Assess requirements for internal business processes, ensuring compatibility with organizational strategic goals. Implement new processes, evaluate existing processes, and recommend optimal solutions and improvements. Partner with business process owners and management on strategic initiatives. Use quantitative analysis methodology to perform data, cost and benefit, and/or process measurement analysis. Research industry trends for application of process improvement techniques and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business and technical analysis sessions to support new application development efforts to meet current and projected business needs.
  • Quickly understand the business issues and data challenges of the client's organization and industry.
  • Act as liaison between the department and other business units.
  • Align stakeholders on business requirements, system requirements, program functions, operations, and strategy.
  • Provide analysis and support for the project management, application development, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Communicate needed changes to business and development teams.
  • Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
  • Assist in driving the implementation of technology and process solutions from concept to completion.
  • Prepare and assist with project-appropriate documentation, including:

- Initial project startup review and analysis.

- Business case, scope, and time/cost estimates.

- Business Requirements Documentation, including information architecture, use cases, wireframe review, UX review, operations requirements, security, and performance.

- Functional Requirements Documentation, including data requirements, infrastructure diagrams, operational requirements, security, performance, testing, and quality assurance.

- Project financial documentation.

- Development of test plans.

-Training and/or technical documentation.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, business analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an IT environment performing business analysis, process analysis, systems analysis, or related work.
  • Experience leading business and technical analysis sessions and translating business needs into business and system requirements.
  • Proficiency in developing business requirements documentation, functional requirements, process flows, status reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Experience supporting application development, project management, and quality assurance teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Experience applying quantitative analysis to data, cost-benefit, and/or process measurement activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate changes, recommendations, and requirements to business and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated project and team leadership skills, sound judgment, self-direction, and the ability to manage assignments with limited supervision.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to take ownership and contribute wherever needed to complete the work.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting new application development initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Experience developing business cases, scope and cost estimates, use cases, data requirements, infrastructure diagrams, test plans, wireframe reviews, or user experience reviews.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies, industry best practices, and process measurement techniques.
  • Technical, business analysis, process improvement, and/or project management certification.

Salary range: $96,550 - $138,061
