Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities- Administer, configure, tune, and troubleshoot z/OS Communications Server, including VTAM, TCP/IP, and TN3270 environments to ensure high availability and optimal network performance.
- Install, maintain, test, document, and support vendor-supplied mainframe software, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage and support the TPX Session Manager environment, including configuration, maintenance, performance optimization, and issue resolution.
- Install, configure, and support Connect:Direct and other enterprise file transfer solutions, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange across platforms.
- Support GDPS network configurations, disaster recovery readiness, business continuity planning, and network failover testing activities.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot secure file transfer solutions including FTP, SFTP, and FTP-ATTLS, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Participate in network architecture, IP address design, and cross-platform integrations between z/OS and distributed systems environments.
- Provide technical leadership through vendor product evaluations, configuration management, documentation, standards development, and participation in an on-call support rotation.
Basic Qualifications -Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 7 years experience with managing day-to-day delivery of satisfactory network services to clients.
-At least 7 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.
Required Skills & Experience- Strong expertise in IBM z/OS Systems Programming with hands-on experience supporting enterprise mainframe networking environments.
- Advanced knowledge of z/OS Communications Server, including VTAM, TCP/IP, TN3270, and network performance tuning.
- Experience administering and supporting TPX Session Manager in large-scale production environments.
- Knowledge of Connect:Direct, secure file transfer technologies, and enterprise data exchange solutions.
- Experience with GDPS, contingency planning, disaster recovery, and resilient network design.
- Proficiency with FTP, SFTP, FTP-ATTLS, and troubleshooting file transfer and communications protocol issues.
- Familiarity with SMP/E software installation, configuration management practices, system software infrastructure, and vendor software lifecycle management.
- Strong background in network operations, network architecture, technical troubleshooting, security, data communications, hardware infrastructure, and IT operational standards.
Location expectationsThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
