Collegiate Charter School of Lowell is hiring a K-12 World Language Coordinator who will teach AP Spanish and grow our program into one that welcomes more languages and celebrates the heritage languages our students bring.

Build a world language program as diverse as our students: We are seeking a
K-12 World Language Coordinator who will lead our program across all three of our schools (K-4, 5-8, and 9-12) and teach
one section of AP Spanish each day. This is a rare chance to shape a program's vision, not just maintain it.
The vision - Deepen Spanish instruction from kindergarten through AP, with a clear, coherent proficiency pathway.
- Expand students' exposure to additional world languages through exploratory courses, clubs, and cultural programming.
- Honor and build on heritage languages, including pathways toward the Massachusetts Seal of Biliteracy.
- Turn our diversity into academic enrichment that every student, family, and staff member experiences.
What you will do - Teach AP Spanish Language and Culture, one class per day.
- Lead K-12 curriculum alignment, pacing, assessment, and proficiency-based instruction.
- Coach and support 4 world language teachers across all grade bands.
- Design new language offerings and enrichment, from K-4 exposure to high school electives and heritage-speaker courses.
- Partner with our English Learner, special education, and counseling teams so every student can access world language learning.
- Organize schoolwide events that celebrate our community's languages and cultures.
- Use data to track student growth, enrollment in advanced pathways, and AP outcomes.
What we are looking for - Massachusetts license in Spanish (or eligibility to obtain one); experience teaching AP Spanish strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish at the Advanced-High level or above (ACTFL).
- Three or more years of classroom teaching experience; experience coaching or leading a department preferred.
- Experience teaching heritage speakers, English Learners, or multilingual students in an urban setting.
- Knowledge of the ACTFL proficiency guidelines and the Massachusetts World Language Curriculum Framework.
- Fluency in an additional language is a plus.
