What you’ll doIn this role, you’ll serve as a technical subject matter expert for Workday HRIS, taking ownership of system administration, configuration, security, reporting, support, and continuous improvement across key HR modules.
Day to day, you’ll:
- Configure, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and optimize Workday modules and business processes, including HCM, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Talent, and Security.
- Evaluate business needs, prioritize enhancements, and recommend solutions that balance user experience, system-wide impact, compliance, and data protection.
- Develop reports and dashboards, support users, and partner with HR, Information Security, and other teams on implementations and integrations.
Beyond that, you’ll monitor Workday releases and cyclical activities, improve internal processes, share risks and recommendations proactively, and use Workday Community and customer networks to stay current on best practices.
What you bringWe’re looking for someone who combines hands-on Workday expertise with sound HR knowledge, analytical thinking, and a strong sense of ownership. You can move between detailed configuration work and clear conversations with business partners.
This role is a great fit if you have:
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Workday, including Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, business process configuration, Security, Time Tracking, Talent, Compensation, and super user administration.
- Experience managing and maintaining Role-Based, User-Based, and Job-Based Security Groups.
- Experience working on creating Compensation Rules, Compensation Components and setting up compensation segments.
- Experience in Workday cyclical activities including annual compensation review, performance reviews, release management and any upgrade cycles.
Required Skills:
- Expertise configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Workday HRIS, including employee records, pay and status changes, organizational structures, and system enhancements.
- Ability to manage Workday Supervisory Organizations, Subordinate Supervisory Organizations, Locations, Companies, Cost Centers, Business Units, and organizational and cost center hierarchies.
- Working knowledge of HR practices, enterprise system integrations, reporting and analytics, data collection principles, information security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues, assess options, recommend solutions, communicate clearly, organize competing priorities, meet deadlines, and use Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
You should also be comfortable working independently, handling sensitive employee information responsibly, and communicating risks, status, and recommendations to the right partners.
