Location: HQ - Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Status: Full-time / 100% on-site

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually

Position Summary: The Kith Women’s technical design team is looking for a Technical Designer for the knitwear, cut & sew and active part of the business to join their team. This individual must have 3-5 years of experience in apparel  technical design, be knowledgeable of the brand identity, and be willing to work on site 5 days a week. They are a team player, accountable, highly organized and possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of the business in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all technical aspects of garment production to ensure high quality and functional products.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially in fit and construction precision

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset

  • Respond quickly to change with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new ways to work and achieve objectives.

  • Strong leadership within live fit sessions & other cross-functional team meetings

  • Clearly document fitting comments with actionable pattern amendment instruction.

  • Management of grading and tolerance rules.

  • Communicate directly with overseas suppliers to troubleshoot pattern corrections and construction related issues.

  • Create and maintain detailed tech packs with precise specifications and construction details.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role (including multi-product experience).

  • Exceptional understanding of garment construction, quality control.

  • Experience of working directly with manufactures.

  • A positive attitude towards challenges and implement solutions.

  • Strong time-management skills; able to prioritize tasks & be flexible.

  • Clear concise communication is a must both written and verbally.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet calendar deadlines.
