About the job you're considering The Windchill Functional Consultant works with business users, product development teams, and IT organizations to analyze business processes, gather requirements, design PLM solutions, configure Windchill modules, and support system adoption. The consultant plays a key role in digital transformation initiatives involving product data management, change management, document management, and product lifecycle processes.
Your Role - Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Gather and analyze business requirements from engineering, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams.
- Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Document functional requirements, use cases, and process flows.
- Translate business requirements into Windchill solution designs.
- Windchill capability demonstration for business users
- Understanding of CAD
- Understanding of Windchill modules such as: PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, Change Management, Document Management, Part Management, BOM
- Management, Workflow Management
- Define lifecycle states, workflows, roles, teams, and access controls.
- Define business rules and system preferences.
- Process Improvement
- Analyze current PLM processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Design standardized product development and engineering change processes.
- Recommend best practices for product data governance.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate configured solutions against business requirements.
- Training & Change Management
- Conduct end-user training sessions.
- Prepare user guides and process documentation.
- Support business adoption and change management activities.
- Hypercare Support
- Troubleshoot functional issues.
- Work with technical teams on integrations and customizations.
- Provide post-go-live support and enhancements.
Your Skills and Experience - Minimum 8 years of experience with Windchill PLM
- Strong understanding of PLM concepts.
- Product Data Management (PDM).
- Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR).
- Product Structure/BOM Management.
- Document Control and Compliance Processes.
- Defining NPD (New product development) process

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $73,150 - $174,000/Year
