Job Overview
The Wholesale Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end mortgage process, from loan origination to closing and servicing, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with regulations, and adherence to company standards. This role will involve leading a team, optimizing processes, and ensuring excellent customer service while meeting financial and compliance goals.
This role is hybrid in office in the Ballantyne are of Charlotte, NC 3 to 4 days a week.
What You'll Do
- Manage and lead a Wholesale Operations team consisting of Account Managers while building a culture of teamwork and mutual supportiveness
- Provide daily oversight of the team to ensure loans are completed according to established policies and procedures and within all TRID, federal, and state regulatory requirements
- Manage the daily pipeline to ensure loans are closed or dispositioned timely
- Work closely with all team members to ensure they are providing a high level of service and meeting partner expectations
- Partner with internal staff (e.g., Underwriter, Processor, Closer, Operations Management) and clients throughout the origination process to ensure efficient, quality closings
- Work closely with underwriting management throughout the loan process
- Assist the team in handling loan-level questions and issues, and in preparing and disseminating updated mortgage origination and compliance standards and procedures
- Work with vendors and various company departments to streamline processes, quality, and risk assessment
What We Need
- 2+ years of previous management experience
- 4+ years of mortgage operations experience
- Adopts the Deephaven culture, contributing to an environment of teamwork and promoting a positive company image to external customers
- Complies with Deephaven policies and procedures
- Completes all assigned training by required dates
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
- Organized, analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated
- Knowledge of current regulatory compliance requirements
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Presents self in a professional manner and can interact with all levels of the organization and outside contacts appropriately
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel
- College degree or comparable work experience
- Ability to complete responsibilities effectively and efficiently with minimal direction
