  • Track baselines and perform what-if analyses for project planning
  • Attend meetings to provide schedule input for project planning
  • Perform additional duties and attend training for current firm requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

  • An Associate's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience or training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2 or more years of project scheduling experience using work breakdown structure and critical path method (CPM)
  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures
  • Ability to learn Georgia Department of Transportation systems, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to understand firm operations, policies, and procedures, preferably within the Architectural/Engineering industry
  • Proficiency in office equipment (personal computers, calculators, copiers)
  • Skill in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Project
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and Smartsheets project management software preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in data entry and communication tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without immediate or constant supervision

About the Role

As the West TN CEI Department Leader, you will:

  • Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules aligned with best project management practices
  • Ensure accuracy of project schedules by tracking update frequency from project managers
  • Assist project managers and assistants in monitoring project progress, identifying critical activities, and reviewing forecasts and progress to date
  • Track baselines, perform what-if analyses, and assist in developing contingency plans
  • Identify projects significantly behind baseline schedules and develop recovery schedules for PM approval
  • Assist program scheduler in tracking status of all schedules and related activities, updating spreadsheets and databases, and following up on status updates
  • Attend meetings with program managers and design professionals to provide input on schedule structure, activity durations, and proposed changes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Attend training as appropriate to stay current with client and firm requirements
