Superintendent to join our growing team and lead the successful execution of complex geotechnical projects.
Your Role: Leading Safe, Efficient, and High-Quality Geotechnical OperationsGeotechnical Superintendents are responsible for monitoring the overall construction work for their assigned Geotechnical projects. This includes updating project schedules, managing labor costs, proper equipment maintenance and usage, suppliers & coordinating self perform work.
What You Will Do:- Responsible for ensuring that a safe workplace remains the top priority by partnering with the Safety Department and Project Management teams to support policies, procedures and practices for establishing a safe workplace.
- Control job progress by managing crews, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control and safety control techniques on the job.
- Directly support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for geotechnical activities to achieve goals for each project.
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge in geotechnical construction methods, specs and procedures.
- Have a thorough understanding of geotechnical equipment (drill rigs, grout plants, shotcrete pumps) mean and methods, proper usage and maintenance.
- Oversee field productivity, cost control, quality control and scheduling to ensure accurate and updated construction schedules and budgets are being met.
- Work with field and project management to address cost and schedule concerns.
- Take an active part in job start / job close meetings as required
- Communicate regularly with Project Management to troubleshoot job challenges and update job status
- Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures with field personnel and Subcontractors.
- Provide Leadership through building cooperative relationships, acting systemically, being decisive and taking responsibility.
- Display leadership by being a good role model and striving to promote a positive attitude at all times.
- Always act in a safe and professional manner.
Who You Are: A Profile of Success- 10+ years of experience in Soldier Piles, Tiebacks, Micropiles, Auger Cast Pile/Drill Shafts, CFA Auger Cast Piles, Wick Drains, Soil/Rock Nail.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail oriented
- Willing to travel
