Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Developer - Testing Tools/Automation/Performance L3 with strong experience in web and mobile application automation testing using Selenium and Appium. The role involves validating web and mobile applications to ensure quality, performance, and reliability across platforms and devices. The engineer will collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment to develop and maintain automation frameworks, improve test coverage, and support reliable software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS mobile applications using Appium.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on requirements and user stories.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect tracking tools.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
• Conduct cross-browser testing using Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari, along with cross-device testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and improve test coverage.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Perform API testing and basic database validation as required.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing best practices.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in web and mobile application testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong hands-on experience with Appium for Android and iOS testing.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.
• Good understanding of hybrid, data-driven, and Page Object Model (POM) automation frameworks.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with API automation tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or SOAP UI.
• Experience with cloud-based device testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Experience testing hybrid and native mobile applications.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and containerization using Docker.
