Full Job Description
We're seeking someone to join our Wealth Management Controllership team as a Director in Finance to support the WM Finance controller team. The candidate will lead the Finance support for the WM Marketing business group and own the forecasting and budgeting process, tracking expenses, monthly business reporting and reviews, and partner with the business leads on strategic initiatives.

This role works across the WM Marketing business teams, including Media, Brand, Integrated Strategy, and Client Engagement on business performance as well as cross-functionally with the Analytics, Data and Insights team on customer incentive measurements.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Director level position within the Product Controllers Job Family which focuses on maintaining strong controls, ensuring accurate profit and loss and balance sheet reporting, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools and/or products
- Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
- Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for WM Marketing
- Analyze monthly results and key metrics, identify drivers and variances, and deliver insights and recommendations to management
- Produce presentations to review financials/key metrics for each business group; researching variances, drivers, provide insight and recommendations
- Support month-end close and financial reporting processes, including expense reviews and journal entry support
- Support weekly financial estimate updates and tracking toward goals
- Build strong knowledge and a conceptual understanding of WM products, processes, metrics, and strategy while operating within the Firm's risk and control framework
- Provide ad hoc analysis and strategic input as needed

What you'll bring to the role:
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
- Ability to provide positive and constructive
- Feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
- Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks
- Bachelor's degree required, with experience in Finance and/or Accounting
- 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work on time with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities
- Self-starter with project management experience and sound business judgment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with AI tools and analytical systems
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
