Salary Range: $115,000/year - $135,000/year, based on the level and extent of experience
Job Description: Will serve as the Senior Site Manager (SM) for a U.S. Navy Small Boat and Watercraft waterfront operations facility located at Naval Base Norfolk. This facility is responsible for conducting testing, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of small boats and watercraft and their associated systems and equipment. The Site Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing daily projects and personnel in support of small boat and watercraft operation, testing, prototyping, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution in a technical or managerial field
OR a High School diploma or GED equivalent with an additional five (5) years of management experience.
Desired Certifications: Possess and maintain a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Required Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in leading a team of skilled technical and support personnel including:
- Testing, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of small boats and watercraft and their associated systems and equipment.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office suite or similar programs.
Desired Experience: Two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Managing the operation and maintenance of small watercraft.
- Managing technical personnel on a contracted efforts valued at $500,000 per year or more.
- Supporting government contract requirements and responsible for estimating the cost and meeting budget for small boat maintenance work.
Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities.
