The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for the Water and Wastewater departments with a section consisting of approximately 7 staff members depending on the variety and priority of assignments.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or related field.
Experience: Five years of progressive experience in engineering design, construction and/or management of public water and wastewater systems, including one year of supervisory related experience. Must possess extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of water and wastewater engineering and project management as it applies to the planning, design, and construction of major water and wastewater facilities. Experience in the operation, maintenance, and financial principals of the public water and wastewater systems desired.
License & Certification: Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Maryland required within one year from date of hire. Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
