Full Job Description
What we need

As Warehouse Operations Manager, Shipping/Receiving, you will lead the day-to-day performance of Exol's automated distribution center in Jackson, GA. Reporting to the Warehouse General Manager, you'll oversee shipping, receiving, yard and dock operations, drive safety, quality, and productivity, develop frontline leaders, and ensure KPI achievement while partnering closely with automation and technology teams to deliver exceptional customer service.

What you'll do
  • Lead daily shipping, receiving, dock, yard, returns, and value-added operations.
  • Manage carrier relationships and transportation performance.
  • Foster a safe, compliant, and accountable workplace culture.
  • Oversee labor planning, scheduling, productivity, and cost control.
  • Drive operational performance across key metrics including OEE, inventory accuracy, on-time shipping, and cost per unit.
  • Partner with Engineering, Technology, and Maintenance teams to optimize automated workflows and system performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and root-cause problem solving.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and frontline leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer and business objectives.
  • Manage departmental budgets and operating expenses.
  • Serve as the site's SQF Practitioner, ensuring food safety, quality compliance, and certification readiness.
  • Provide KPI reporting, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Strong background in safety, labor management, operational metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in customer-facing operations, 3PL, fulfillment, or multi-client environments preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, develop talent, and drive results in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
  • Experience launching new facilities or supporting startup operations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with food safety programs (SQF, HACCP, GMP) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of WMS, ERP, automated systems, and Microsoft Office tools.


Our Environment
  • Travel could be up to 10% of the time. Employee must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations
  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
  • This is an in-warehouse role; you'll spend time on the floor as well as in the office.
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts (day, swing, night) or be on call depending on operational demands.
  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and tolerate warehouse environmental conditions (temperature variations, noise, etc.).

The base range for this position in the posted location is $106,400.00 - $145,180.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
