ASM Research is seeking a Vulnerability Assessment Lead to direct enterprise network vulnerability assessment activities and lead a team of analysts.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee vulnerability assessments across the enterprise network, directing a team of analysts and ensuring consistent methodology and quality of findings.
- Review and validate team analyses of identified vulnerabilities; approve risk assessments and remediation instructions before delivery to stakeholders.
- Maintain a repository of VA application issues and report application issues to the Government VAT Team Lead and SSD Director in applying Information Systems Security principles and methods.
- Guide Application Security implementation efforts; apply advanced understanding of Firewall Management and Advanced Threat Protection to shape team strategy and network defense priorities.
- Oversee Access Control, Authorization, Intrusion Prevention, and Intrusion Detection practices across the environment, ensuring team adherence to standards.
- Direct Protocol Analysis activities and enforce requirements for handling sensitive and classified information.
- Ensure team compliance with FISMA requirements and the Risk Management Framework (RMF); support authorization and continuous monitoring activities.
- Mentor and develop junior analysts; coordinate workload, schedules, and escalation of critical findings.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 7 years' experience performing vulnerability assessments for an enterprise network, including prior experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing vulnerabilities and providing assessments and remediation instructions, with the ability to review and validate others' work.
- Experience with Application Security implementation; strong understanding of Firewall Management and Advanced Threat Protection.
- Familiarity with Access Control, Authorization, Intrusion Prevention, and Intrusion Detection.
