VP, Senior Credit Analyst
Job Description:

Summary:

Responsible for underwriting all commercial loan transactions secured by real estate, accounts receivable, inventory or fixed assets and unsecured loan transactions at all levels of complexity. Underwriting will include financial analysis with a concentration on cash flow analysis, collateral evaluation and an overall review of the request that results in a solid recommendation. Other responsibilities include reviewing financial information on a periodic basis and analyzing borrowing base certificates along with accounts receivable and inventory reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite commercial loan transactions, which includes CRE, C&I, leveraged finance, and tax credits
  • Clearly communicate with internal and external customers
  • Work with others to produce needed outcomes and meet deadlines
  • Complete follow-up analysis on financial statements and borrowing base history
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of financial industry, economy, market conditions, and competition
  • Ensure credit related follow-up items (primarily financial statements, Borrowing Base Certificates and Covenant compliance certificates) are reflected on the follow-up systems
  • Provide support to lending officers in structuring and analyzing potential transactions
  • Partner with lending units to maintain oversight of future loan maturities and current pipeline to ensure deadlines are met and maintain a high level of customer service
  • Be an active participant in weekly loan committee meetings as a representative of the Credit Department
  • Assist the Credit Manager in providing coaching and mentoring to junior credit associates
  • At times, accompany Relationship Managers on customer calls and participate in client meetings


Qualifications:
  • Ability to underwrite a transaction in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to analyze financial statements in terms of cash flow, debt service, projection analysis and trend analysis
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess strong decision-making skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to analyze cash flow, leverage and other financial metrics
