Full Job Description
SUMMARY:

The VP of Product and Digital for Columbia Bank will be responsible for defining, delivering, and scaling Columbia Bank's product and digital strategy across the Bank. This role encompasses leading a team that shapes the strategic direction and capabilities of digital channels and key banking products, ensuring a seamless, customer-centric experience that drives revenue and deposit growth. This person will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions that meet customer needs and elevate the brand

Job Responsibilities:

Product Oversight

  • Own the product roadmap and recommendations for assigned digital products, ensuring alignment with the Bank's strategic priorities.
  • Manage relationships with key digital vendors to ensure functionality is maximized and best-in-class customer experience is delivered.


Product Strategy & Market Analysis

  • Define and maintain a clear consumer and commercial deposit product strategy and roadmap covering the full product lifecycle.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of market dynamics and client insights to define product trends and inform the product vision and strategy including specific product developments.


Innovation & New Product Development

  • Develop new products and product changes iteratively and continuously together with cross-functional team members.
  • Explore and research alternative/non-traditional product lines and fintech options with the potential to generate revenue and or deposit growth.


Product Performance & Analytics

  • Establish and monitor product performance metrics.
  • Partner with key support groups such as Business Intelligence, Finance, Deposit Operations and Client Experience to deploy actionable insights.
  • Communicate product insights and updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support across the organization.


Operational Excellence

  • Partner closely with Technology, Operations, CX, and Risk to ensure solutions are executed, secure, compliant, and operationally sound.
  • Support product mapping and alignment for potential bank acquisitions.


Leadership & Strategic Support

  • Support the 1st SVP of Product and Digital in key strategic decisions and execution.
  • Lead a team of product specialists and cover all responsibilities of a manager from hiring, performance management, and skill-based coaching.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on digital channels and customer-facing products.
  • Experience working with vendors.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital products in the e-commerce, or financial services industries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher level education such as a Master's degree, PHD, or certification is desirable.

  • Familiarity/Experience with Agile build methodologies preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and product enhancements.

Schedule:

This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule; 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home based on business need.
