VP of Pre-Construction | Watkinsville, GA (Onsite)
Compensation: 200K-250K base, with bonus potential of up to 30%.

Our client is a $90M commercial construction company in Watkinsville, GA, and it is growing. They are looking for a VP of Pre-Construction to own the entire pre-construction function and build the systems and team that will carry it through the next stage of growth. This is a senior leadership seat. You will stay close to the major bids while setting the strategy for how the company prices, pursues and wins work.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the full pre-construction function: estimating, budgeting, scheduling and bid strategy
- Lead and mentor a team of 5 estimators, from senior to junior
- Review and approve large and complex bids, GMPs and cost models
- Develop pricing strategy and drive go/no-go decisions on pursuits
- Partner with operations, project executives and leadership for smooth project handoffs
- Analyze risk, constructability and value-engineering opportunities
- Standardize estimating processes, templates and controls
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors and key partners
- Support business development with client presentations and pre-award strategy

What You Bring
- 10+ years of construction experience, including heavy civil
- Proven leadership of an estimating or pre-construction team
- Strong command of bidding strategy, risk analysis and margin management
- Nice to have: HCSS HeavyBid and Hagtec
