Position Summary

EBI Consulting is in search of a VP of Marketing to join our Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will lead EBI's marketing organization while helping shape the company's broader growth strategy. This executive will partner closely with Sales, Operations, and business leaders to strengthen EBI's brand, identify attractive markets, evaluate expansion opportunities, develop new sales channels, and generate qualified demand across the business. The successful candidate will combine strategic market thinking with strong commercial instincts and the ability to build a high-performing marketing function that delivers measurable business results.

This position reports directly to the CEO and requires an in-office presence in our Burlington, MA corporate headquarters under a hybrid model. Candidates must be within commutable distance and comfortable working in this environment to be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute EBI's enterprise marketing and growth strategy in support of the company's strategic objectives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing organization across brand, communications, digital marketing, demand generation, content, and market intelligence.
  • Define and strengthen EBI's brand positioning, messaging, and value proposition across target industries and client segments.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive assessments to identify emerging trends, attractive segments, expansion opportunities, and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to translate market insights into recommendations on growth strategy, service offerings, market entry, and investment priorities.
  • Build scalable demand-generation and account-based marketing programs that create qualified sales opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales to identify, develop, and optimize new sales channels, strategic partnerships, referral sources, and routes to market.
  • Lead EBI's content strategy, working with Sales, Operations, and technical experts to develop thought leadership, case studies, market insights, and client success stories that elevate the brand and support business development.
  • Establish clear marketing KPIs, analytics, and reporting to improve decision-making and demonstrate business impact.
  • Strengthen alignment among Marketing, Sales, Operations, and service-line leaders to ensure commercial strategies reflect evolving market and client needs.
  • Build the capabilities, processes, technology, and talent required to support EBI's continued growth.
  • Serve as an influential member of the Senior Leadership Team and contribute to the company's strategic direction beyond the marketing function.


Qualifications and Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive B2B marketing and commercial leadership experience, including leadership of a marketing function or significant marketing organization.
  • Demonstrated success transforming marketing from a support function into a strategic growth partner.
  • Experience developing market strategy, segmentation, competitive analysis, and market expansion recommendations.
  • Proven success partnering with sales organizations to drive pipeline development and revenue growth.
  • Strong experience in demand generation, account-based marketing, brand strategy, and executive communications.
  • Experience developing content and thought leadership strategies that strengthen market positioning and support business development.
  • Experience working in organizations with multiple service lines, industries, or customer segments.
  • Professional services experience strongly preferred; environmental, engineering, infrastructure, real estate, or technical consulting experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and financial acumen with the ability to translate data and insights into business decisions.
  • Demonstrated success building, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and highly accountable, with a willingness to operate beyond traditional functional boundaries.


The reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position may also be eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered will be based on a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to; geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, knowledge, skills/level, qualifications and budget.
