This position can be domiciled at any FedEx Freight location within the continental US. You will be required to work onsite at a FedEx Freight location.
Responsible for leading the development and execution of FedEx Freight's integrated marketing and communications strategy to strengthen the brand and reputation, deepen customer and employee engagement, and support business growth objectives. Provides executive leadership for marketing strategy and operations, customer insights, digital and product marketing, content and performance marketing, brand strategy and creative services, social media, field and event marketing, internal communications, executive and external affairs, media relations, customer communications, and related communications programs. Ensures a consistent company narrative and brand experience across customer, employee, market, media, community, and other key stakeholder touchpoints.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Develop and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies that support business growth, strengthen market position, enhance brand awareness and reputation, and improve customer and employee engagement.
2. Provide executive leadership across the Marketing, Brand, and Communications functions, establishing clear priorities, operating rhythms, performance expectations, and cross-functional alignment.
3. Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of marketing programs and campaigns across digital, product, content, performance, customer lifecycle, field, event, and other relevant channels.
4. Direct market research, customer insights, competitive analysis, and marketing performance measurement to identify customer needs, market trends, growth opportunities, and actions to improve effectiveness and return on investment.
5. Partner with Sales and business leaders to develop customer acquisition, retention, lifecycle, and engagement strategies and ensure marketing and communications efforts support commercial priorities.
6. Establish and oversee enterprise brand strategy, positioning, identity, creative standards, social presence, and messaging to deliver a consistent and compelling brand experience across customer, employee, and external stakeholder touchpoints.
7. Lead the company's internal and external communications strategy, ensuring timely, clear, consistent, and effective communications across appropriate channels.
8. Provide executive oversight of employee communications, executive communications, external affairs, media relations, issues management, and crisis communications to support business priorities and protect and strengthen the company's reputation.
9. Partner with executive leadership to translate company strategy, priorities, business performance, and transformation initiatives into clear and compelling narratives for employees, customers, media, and other key stakeholders.
10. Oversee customer communications and ensure alignment of customer-facing messaging with brand, marketing, Sales, operational, and business priorities.
11. Provide strategic oversight for community relations, philanthropic communications, and other external engagement programs that support the company's reputation and business objectives.
12. Ensure marketing and communications initiatives are data-driven, measurable, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives and key performance indicators.
13. Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers, media and industry partners, and other service providers supporting marketing, brand, creative, and communications initiatives.
14. Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing leadership team and organization while fostering collaboration, accountability, innovation, and strong partnership across the business.
15. May assume additional areas of responsibility as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum ExperienceTen (10) years of progressive experience across marketing, communications, brand, or related corporate functions, including seven (7) years in positions with management responsibility, with demonstrated success developing and executing strategies that strengthen brand and reputation, drive customer and employee engagement, and support business growth. A related advanced degree may offset a portion of the experience requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated marketing, brand, and communications strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Broad experience across market research, customer analytics and insights, brand management, digital and product marketing, content strategy, performance marketing, customer lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, social media, creative services, field and event marketing, and customer communications.
- Experience leading internal and employee communications, executive communications, external affairs, media relations, issues management, and crisis communications.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business strategies, priorities, and transformation initiatives into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, judgment, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with executive leadership and across multiple business functions.
- Experience managing external agencies, suppliers, media and industry partners, and marketing and communications service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and senior leaders across multiple disciplines.

Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement.
