Job Overview:LPL Financial Corp is seeking an experienced and strategic VP, Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our robust and scalable technology infrastructure. This senior leadership role will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our critical systems, supporting business growth and innovation.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy aligned with LPL Financial's business objectives, focusing on scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all infrastructure components through the implementation of best practices, robust monitoring, and proactive threat mitigation.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance infrastructure performance, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and technology procurements to ensure optimal value and service delivery.
- Develop and manage infrastructure budgets, forecasting future needs and optimizing resource allocation.
- Establish and enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to ensure seamless integration and support of business applications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the infrastructure engineering team.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing for infrastructure services.

Requirements:- 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- 5+ years of designing, implementing, and managing large-scale, complex enterprise-level infrastructure environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Core Competencies:- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and hybrid cloud strategies.
- Deep understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
- Strong knowledge of storage solutions, databases, and data management best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferences:- Demonstrated experience with infrastructure automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell).
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
- Master's degree preferred.

Pay Range: $128,750.00 - $214,549.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
