The Opportunity
Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Vice President, Global Distribution to join the Global Sales & Revenue Organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of Hyatt's global distribution strategy, including Hyatt's B2B and B2C account portfolio across all segments, new partner development, and channel mix strategy to drive incremental room nights to the portfolio. You will collaborate closely with commercial, regional, hotel, revenue management, digital, and technology teams to increase direct bookings through Hyatt.com and mobile, reduce overall distribution costs, and implement sound distribution principles for new openings. The Role
The Vice President, Global Distribution leads Hyatt's global distribution strategy and provides enterprise oversight across direct and third-party channels.
• Develop and execute the long-term global distribution strategy to achieve optimal channel mix across all booking channels, with specific focus on increasing booking penetration of Hyatt.com web and mobile.
• Develop the B2B and B2C account portfolio across all segments, lead new partner development, and use channel mix strategy to drive incremental room nights to the portfolio.
• Provide oversight and final decision-making for third-party distribution relationships, both retail and wholesale, from contract development through implementation and performance monitoring.
• Maintain company focus on net rates versus gross rates by increasing transparency of distribution costs and providing hotels worldwide with tools to better manage distribution costs.
• Develop, maintain, communicate, and track distribution reporting tools, including net rates and other key distribution metrics.
• Work closely with hotel, regional, and global teams to train, interpret, and operationalize distribution metrics and coordinate action planning and tactics to optimize performance.
• Act as primary business sponsor for distribution-related technology initiatives, including third-party intermediary connectivity and system operationalization of net rates.
• Assist with new openings to ensure sound distribution principles are implemented from the start.
• Along with the SVP of Revenue Management, participate as a Board member for Room Key and provide input on future strategies for the subsidiary.
• Represent Hyatt at industry events and panels relating to distribution and defend Hyatt's interests by participating actively in trade associations such as the American Hotel & Lodging Association, European Hotel Forum, and HEDNA.
• Lead and set direction for global distribution personnel, including recruiting, coaching, and motivating team members.
Qualifications:
Experience Required
• Extensive knowledge of the distribution landscape and how it relates to the hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute global distribution strategy across third-party, B2B, B2C, web, and mobile channels.
• Experience managing third-party distribution partner relationships, including contract development, implementation, and performance monitoring.
• Strategic thinker with an analytical and financial mindset and a focus on improving hotel profitability.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across, up, and down the organization while working as a team player.
• Strong project management skills with focus on results and getting things done.
• Effective people manager and coach with experience leading, recruiting, coaching, and motivating team members.
Experience Preferred:
• Experience supporting new hotel openings with distribution planning and implementation.
• Experience serving as business sponsor for distribution-related technology initiatives, including intermediary connectivity and system operationalization of net rates.
• Experience representing a hospitality company at industry events, panels, and trade associations related to distribution.

The salary range for this position is $273,800- $365,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
