The Vice President, Corporate Development, is responsible for leading the identification, evaluation, negotiation and execution of strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships to support the company's long-term growth objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer (CSDO), this role will work closely with senior leaders and external partners to shape Moog's corporate strategy and manage complex transactions from inception to execution. The role will also oversee the integration processes post-merger and ensure alignment with the company's performance objectives and values.
Key Roles and Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize inorganic initiatives centered on long-term growth.
- Serve as the process owner for the identification, assessment and execution of potential acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments, and joint ventures.
- Oversee all aspects of deal execution, including valuation, negotiation, due diligence, and integration planning.
- Serve as the executive agent of the M&A Committee, a subset of the Moog Executive Team (CEO, CFO, GC, CSDO)
- Develop and lead a virtual M&A center of excellence, incorporating best practices across all phases of the deal life cycle.
- Manage relationships with external advisors (investment banks, legal counsel, accountants, consultants) and internal teams to ensure smooth transaction processes.
- Support post-merger integration workstreams and provide updates on deal success criteria to senior leadership and Board of Directors.
Key Attributes - Possess significant experience in the A&D industry to include and roles of increasing responsibility in a public multi-segment company.
- Possess experience advising senior leadership and Boards of Directors on M&A activities.
- Possess a track record in executing strategic transactions, either in a corporate or operating group role.
- Possess demonstrated experience in leading post merger integration activities.
- Possess a strategy first mindset and prior experience working with strategy organizations.
- Possess prior experience in mentoring and developing talent to create a viable succession plan.
Salary Range Transparency:Buffalo, NY $300,000.00-$370,000.00 Annually
