About this role:

VRC is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Business Development Associate to support the growth of its Portfolio Valuation practice. Partnering with senior business development and valuation professionals, this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, generating new business opportunities, supporting marketing and networking initiatives, and contributing to revenue growth. The successful candidate will be a collaborative professional who embodies VRC's culture and values while delivering exceptional service to clients and prospects.

What you will do:

  • Develop a deep understanding of VRC's Portfolio Valuation business
  • Conduct market research to identify target companies and key individuals at those companies
  • Initiate communications with companies and conduct ongoing follow-up
  • Support revenue growth initiatives by facilitating introductions, meetings, proposals, and engagement opportunities
  • Build relationships with existing clients and network to strengthen ties
  • Attend and develop relationships at industry conferences
  • Provide research support for meetings
  • Develop marketing collateral, presentations and meeting materials
  • Create and host networking and other professional events


What you will need:

  • 3-6 years of business development, relationship management, or client-facing experience within valuation, financial services, investment management, private equity, private credit, banking, consulting, or related professional services
  • Demonstrated success developing professional relationships and generating new business opportunities
  • Strong verbal, written communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and collaborate with internal teams to manage time-sensitive engagements
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Strong work ethic and capacity to work flexible hours around critical due dates
  • Understanding of private equity, private credit, alternative investments, or valuation services preferred
  • Current authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

$80k-$120k.The base salary offered at the time of hire is only a portion of total compensation and may differ from the stated range. It could be higher or lower depending on various factors, including the candidate's relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the specific service line and location for the position. In addition to base pay, a meaningful portion of total compensation is paid as quarterly profit-sharing compensation, which has historically ranged from 20- 30% of base pay.
