General Summary:

This role is responsible for defining and driving Voice AI technology across multiple business units, including mobile, compute, smart glasses, wearables, personal AI, IoT, and automotive.

The Voice AI Product Manager owns the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept and definition through launch and lifecycle management. The role serves as the central point of coordination across engineering and business units to deliver scalable, power-efficient, and high-performance Voice AI user experiences.

The product manager will be responsible for the Voice AI stack, including:

  • Voice activation / wake word detection
  • Echo cancellation & noise suppression (ECNS)
  • Speech recognition (ASR)
  • Text-to-speech (TTS)
  • Speaker identification / verification
  • Speaker Diarization (SDZ)
  • End-to-end Voice AI / conversational UX
  • On-device vs. cloud partitioning
  • Hardware and software platform roadmap definition to support the above


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define and execute long-term Voice AI product strategy
  • Develop and maintain Voice AI software roadmap
  • Drive differentiation through:
  • Low-power always-on capabilities
  • On-device intelligence and privacy
  • Promote adoption of new Voice AI technologies, features and address industry trends


Product Definition & Execution
  • Drive product lifecycle:
  • Requirements 16 development 16 validation 16 launch
  • Own feature definition for Voice AI software stack
  • Work with engineering teams (DSP, AI SW, OS, frameworks) to:
  • Deliver features
  • Meet KPIs (power, latency, accuracy)
  • Build business cases for new features and investments


Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the product management lead, and domain expert, with:
  • Chipset teams
  • BU/Product teams
  • Audio / Voice software teams
  • AI / ML hardware and software teams
  • OS teams (Android, Windows, Linux)
  • Align stakeholders across product, engineering, and customer teams
  • Drive cross-functional decision-making and execution


Customer & Ecosystem Engagement
  • Work with:
  • OEMs and customers
  • Ecosystem partners (cloud, voice AI vendors, ISVs)
  • Translate customer needs into product requirements
  • Ensure clear Voice AI requirements across platforms and BUs
  • Support customer engagements and early enablement
  • Coordinate activities with Customer Engineering teams


Market & Competitive Analysis
  • Conduct analysis on:
  • Competing voice AI solutions
  • Trends in on-device vs cloud voice AI
  • Identify opportunities for differentiation
  • Drive platform positioning and strategy


6. Go-To-Market & Communication
  • Develop product messaging and positioning
  • Create technical collateral and presentations
  • Deliver:
  • Customer demos
  • Technical presentations
  • Executive briefings


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Product Management or related work experience
  • Experience with audio, voice, and/or AI software systems
  • Strong understanding of:
    • AL/ML pipelines (Speech Recognition, Natural Language Processing, Text-to-Speech)
    • Low-power / embedded systems (DSPs, NPUs)
  • Working in a large matrixed organization.
  • Experience working with external ecosystem players

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$179,200.00 - $268,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
