Role PurposeThe vCIO is the primary strategic advisor to assigned clients, responsible for aligning technology investments to business outcomes. This role ensures each client has a clearly defined IT roadmap, budget, and service alignment plan that reflects Framewerx standards and the client's evolving business needs.
The vCIO builds long-term client trust through proactive planning, performance reviews, and strategic recommendations that deliver measurable value. This role does not involve technical engineering or reactive support.
Key Responsibilities- Client Strategy Ownership: Serve as the executive-level point of contact for strategic IT planning.
- Roadmap Planning: Define multi-year IT roadmaps aligned with Framewerx standards and the client's business goals.
- Budget Guidance: Develop and manage client IT budgets and purchasing plans in partnership with Finance and Sales.
- QBR Leadership: Deliver structured quarterly business reviews that cover performance, risks, and upcoming initiatives.
- Standards Alignment Support: Work with TAM and Service teams to ensure clients remain aligned with operational and security standards.
- Business Outcome Mapping: Identify where technology can reduce risk, improve efficiency, or support growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Sales, Project Services, and Service Desk to ensure alignment and execution.
Success Metrics- Roadmap adoption rate across assigned clients.

Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in client-facing IT leadership, vCIO, or technical account management.
- Proven ability to translate business goals into IT strategies.
- Familiarity with managed services environments, common SMB infrastructure, and service delivery practices.
- Experience with standards alignment frameworks such as TruMethods.
- Strong presentation skills and executive presence.
- Comfort with budgeting, planning cycles, and strategic facilitation.
