Job Summary: The Vice President (VP) will oversee the operations for the Network Enterprise Cancer Services to provide executive leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for oncology services across all of the WMCHealth Network. This role is accountable for advancing high-quality, patient-centered cancer care, driving growth and financial performance, and fostering collaboration and integration across hospitals, physician practices, infusion centers, and community-based programs.
Responsibilities:- Leads the development and execution of oncology strategies across WMCHealth Network to expand access, improve outcomes, and support growth, in alignment with network-wide oncology vision.
- Develops and implements strategic plans, objectives, and policies to achieve service line performance standards.
- Partners with network leadership to design and implement a unified cancer service line, integrating hospital-based and community-based oncology programs.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure infrastructure, staffing, resources, and processes are in place to achieve growth, access, and quality goals.
- Leads organizational and cultural transformation initiatives to adapt to evolving healthcare demands, technologies, and system-wide initiatives.
- Identifies and implements innovative models of care delivery, streamlines operations, and advances efficiency across the continuum of cancer care.
- Partners with Quality, Pharmacy, and Nursing leadership to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety and care outcomes.
- Establishes performance metrics to monitor, evaluate, and elevate operational and clinical performance.
- Collaborates with finance and executive leaders to optimize reimbursement and achieve financial performance targets.
- Directs resource allocation to support growth, sustainability, and long-term service line viability.
- Oversees the operations of oncology services, including physician practices, infusion centers, breast centers, navigation, and cancer support programs.
- Serves as a visible leader for oncology care in the community and across the region.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:Experience: 7-9 years of progressive experience in healthcare administration or nursing experience in a hospital or health care agency, which must have included responsibility for nursing practice, preparing budgets and oversight of quality improvement activities.
Education: BSN required, Master's degree in nursing, nursing administration, health care or business administration preferred.
Licenses / Certifications: Possession of a valid license and current registration issued by the New York State Education Department as a Registered Professional Nurse
