Vice President, Strategy & Enablement

Location: South Sioux City, Nebraska

Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, this newly created role will help shape and advance enterprise priorities by turning strategic objectives into actionable plans and measurable results. Working closely with executive leadership, you will strengthen organizational capabilities, drive cross-functional initiatives, and support long-term business success. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic leader who excels at building partnerships, developing high-performing teams, and fostering alignment across the organization.

What You'll Do

As Vice President, Strategy & Enablement, you will serve as a key partner to the Chief Strategy Officer, executive leadership team, and business leaders across the Company. You will lead teams responsible for business strategy, planning, enterprise intelligence, and product development while ensuring enterprise priorities are translated into effective execution.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Lead enterprise and business strategy development efforts that support Great West's long-term growth objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop strategic and operating plans and establish clear execution roadmaps.
  • Foster cross-functional alignment by facilitating collaboration, resolving competing priorities, and guiding strategic decision making.
  • Direct business reviews, strategic planning processes, and operational performance discussions.
  • Support the development and implementation of operational strategies that enhance effectiveness and drive business results.
  • Provide executive leaders with market insights, industry intelligence, scenario planning, and analysis of emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team focused on strategy, innovation, product development, and business enablement.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, consulting, FP&A, operations, actuarial, or related business disciplines.
  • Property & Casualty insurance experience required.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional strategic initiatives and driving results.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, including the ability to evaluate business performance, analyze investments, and support forecasting and planning efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence executive, business, and functional leaders.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of organizational change management, operational effectiveness, and business transformation.
