Description

About the Role

Longevity Health is seeking a highly strategic, analytically rigorous, and entrepreneurial leader to develop growth strategies, new products, and innovative partnership structures that expand the company's value proposition, create new growth engines, and strengthen its position across the long-term care and value-based care ecosystem.

The Vice President, Strategic Partnerships & New Ventures will evaluate and develop new models that parlay Longevity's strengths and then work with primary care organizations, physician groups, skilled nursing facility operators, payors, ACOs, ancillary providers, and other healthcare or relevant organizations to achieve those goals.

This individual will serve as a strategic architect and internal incubator. The role will focus on proactive approaches to product strategy but also take advantage of opportunistic relationships that might become available when appropriate. The role will identify opportunities, define the partnership thesis, develop the business and economic model, evaluate strategic and operational feasibility, structure agreements, lead cross-functional diligence, and guide new models through pilot design and initial implementation. Once a model is proven and operationally ready, the role will transition ongoing ownership to the appropriate business or operational leader.

The role directly supports Longevity's need to pursue multiple growth engines, alternative products, new contracting models, and a broader value proposition for skilled nursing facility partners and the senior living space in general when appropriate. That direction is consistent with the company's recent strategic materials, which identify new strategic partnerships, broader SNF solutions, alternative product models, and contracting innovation as important growth catalysts.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership Development
  • Develop new growth strategies across the continuum of products that Longevity is best positioned for either on its own or with partners
  • Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities with healthcare organizations that have complementary clinical capabilities, provider relationships, market access, technology, data, products, or infrastructure that support the identified growth strategies
  • Develop creative partnership structures that extend beyond traditional vendor or referral relationshipsAssess opportunities involving joint go-to-market models, delegated services, shared clinical delivery, co-branded products, risk-sharing arrangements, management services, licensing, network access, and other value-based structures
  • Define the strategic rationale, differentiated value proposition, and expected business impact of each proposed partnership
  • Develop structured recommendations regarding whether Longevity should partner, build, buy, invest, pilot, or defer
  • Maintain a prioritized partnership opportunity pipeline based on strategic fit, financial potential, implementation complexity, speed to market, and scalability

Business Model and Economic Design
  • Build financial and operating models to evaluate the economics of proposed partnerships
  • Define revenue models, cost allocation, capital requirements, implementation costs, risk-sharing mechanisms, performance incentives, and potential returns
  • Evaluate how each structure may affect membership growth, medical expense, clinical performance, quality, Star Ratings, risk adjustment, administrative cost, and operating margin
  • Partner with Finance and Analytics to test assumptions, conduct sensitivity analysis, and establish measurable thresholds for investment and continuation
  • Develop clear decision frameworks that allow executive leadership to compare opportunities consistently
  • Recommend stage gates for concept approval, diligence, contracting, pilot launch, expansion, modification, or termination

New Venture Incubation
  • Translate promising partnership concepts into executable pilot models
  • Develop business cases, project charters, operating requirements, implementation roadmaps, resource plans, governance structures, and performance scorecards
  • Establish clear pilot hypotheses and define what must be proven before broader implementation
  • Coordinate early-stage execution across Clinical, Operations, Growth, Network, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Data and Analytics, Product, and Market leadership
  • Maintain executive-level visibility into pilot progress, risks, economics, decisions, and dependencies
  • Transition successful models to permanent operational ownership once defined readiness criteria have been met
  • Document lessons learned and create repeatable playbooks for future partnership development.

Partnership Structuring and Negotiation
  • Lead the development of commercial principles and partnership structures in coordination with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and executive leadership
  • Prepare term-sheet concepts, financial exhibits, governance models, performance expectations, accountability mechanisms, and escalation processes
  • Determine how clinical responsibilities, operational responsibilities, data rights, economics, compliance obligations, performance risk, and decision authority should be divided between the parties
  • Support executive leadership in negotiations with prospective strategic partners
  • Ensure proposed structures create sustainable value for Longevity, the partner, skilled nursing facilities, providers, payors, and members
  • Anticipate potential misalignment and incorporate appropriate safeguards, performance standards, and exit provisions

Market and Competitive Intelligence
  • Monitor developments across I-SNPs, ACOs, value-based care, institutional primary care, post-acute care, physician enablement, delegated risk, care management, and ancillary services
  • Analyze emerging competitors, strategic partners, market entrants, regulatory developments, and business model innovations
  • Develop fact-based perspectives on how organizations other physician or clinical groups may complement, compete with, or create new opportunities for Longevity
  • Identify partnership models being used elsewhere in healthcare and assess whether they can be adapted to the institutional and long-term care environment
  • Present concise strategic briefs and recommendations to executive leadership and, when appropriate, the Board of Directors

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the central strategic coordinator for new partnership concepts that span multiple departments or lines of business
  • Build alignment among stakeholders with different clinical, financial, operational, regulatory, and commercial priorities
  • Clarify executive sponsorship, decision rights, workstream ownership, and operational accountability before pilot launch
  • Facilitate constructive debate, surface tradeoffs, and drive decisions in situations where information may be incomplete
  • Ensure new models balance enterprise consistency with the practical needs of individual markets and partners
  • Partner closely with operating leaders to ensure that proposed structures are executable and do not create avoidable complexity for frontline teams

Executive Communication and Governance
  • Prepare executive-ready business cases, strategic analyses, presentations, and recommendations
  • Communicate complex healthcare, financial, and partnership concepts in a clear and practical manner
  • Establish appropriate governance and executive review processes for strategic partnership opportunities
  • Provide transparent reporting on milestones, financial assumptions, risks, decisions required, and expected outcomes
  • Support executive leadership and the Board in evaluating major partnership and new venture opportunities
  • Represent Longevity in external discussions with senior executives, investors, advisors, and prospective partners

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field
  • MBA, MHA, MPH, or another relevant graduate degree from a highly regarded program, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience
  • Meaningful experience in management consulting, healthcare strategy, corporate development, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity portfolio operations, product strategy, or new venture development
  • Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop hypotheses, conduct rigorous analysis, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Experience developing business cases, financial models, market assessments, executive presentations, and implementation roadmaps
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management capabilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment while introducing appropriate structure, discipline, and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives through influence rather than relying solely on direct authority
  • High level of judgment, intellectual curiosity, discretion, and personal accountability

Strongly Preferred:
  • Experience in healthcare consulting or strategy, particularly involving Medicare Advantage, value-based care, physician groups, ACOs, health plans, skilled nursing facilities, post-acute care, or institutional care
  • Experience evaluating or designing risk-based, capitated, shared-savings, delegated, or performance-based arrangements
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory, compliance, contracting, and data-sharing considerations
  • Experience taking a new concept from strategic assessment through pilot launch and operational transition
  • Understanding of clinical delivery models and how clinical, operational, and financial incentives interact
  • Experience working with senior executives, boards, investors, or private equity sponsors
  • Experience operating in the senior living and value-base care environment

Leadership Characteristics

The successful candidate will be:
  • Strategic and practical: Able to develop a sophisticated strategy while remaining grounded in operational realities

  • Analytically rigorous: Comfortable challenging assumptions and quantifying the economic implications of strategic choices

  • Adaptable: Effective in a growing organization where priorities and information may evolve quickly
  • Mission-oriented: Motivated by improving care and quality of life for individuals in long-term care
