Overview:The VP, Services Delivery Executive owns the financial and operational performance of a large services delivery portfolio. This leader runs a significant P&L, leads the people who deliver the work, and builds trusted relationships with client executives. The role covers high-volume project delivery and multi-year programs worth millions of dollars. We are looking for someone who delivers predictable outcomes, grows the business through client confidence, and develops the next generation of delivery leaders.
What you will do: - Own the P&L. Manage a large delivery P&L, including revenue, margin, cost of delivery, forecasting, and variance management.
- Drive utilization and realization. Hold leaders accountable for both measures together. Balance resource supply and demand, protect margin, and act early when engagements drift from plan.
- Set delivery governance. Establish the governance, risk management, and quality standards for a high volume of concurrent projects and multi-year, multi-million-dollar programs, so that leaders identify and resolve issues early.
- Lead and grow leaders. Coach the senior leaders who manage project managers, program managers, and delivery leads. Set clear expectations, run performance reviews, plan succession, and build high-performing teams. Build the next generation of VP-ready delivery and engineering leaders.
- Own the talent engine. Be accountable for hiring, onboarding, skills and career paths, and retention of top performers. Build succession plans and a ready bench for the top leadership roles.
- Build executive relationships. Act as the senior delivery voice with client executives. Run executive business reviews, handle escalations, and turn delivery success into long-term partnerships and new opportunities.
- Partner across the business. Work with sales, solution architects, engineering, and practice leaders on scoping, pricing, staffing, and handoffs so commitments are achievable and profitable.
- Apply technical judgment. Understand the technology behind the work, such as networking, data center, cloud, security, AI, and managed services. Be credible enough to challenge designs and estimates and to judge the caliber of technical leaders.
- Improve how we deliver. Standardize methods, tools, and metrics. Use automation and AI to raise quality and productivity at scale.
- Stay close to risk. Keep visibility into at-risk engagements, step in personally on the most critical, and make sure leaders find the root cause, reset the plan, and restore client confidence.
- Set the operating model. Establish the scorecards, operating cadence, and consequences that hold every layer of the organization accountable for results.
- Shape the workforce. Understand the unique distinctions and requirements of our customers and services work, to appropriately set the right mix of employees, partners, and subcontractors, and plan skills and capacity against where demand is heading.
