ResponsibilitiesTechnology Investment banking is a core business line of GLBA; responsible for the origination and execution of all tech related investment banking transactions by Societe Generale Americas. The emphasis will be the broader software sector within Technology Investment Banking. This will include equity origination [IPO's Follow-Ons], M&A and Leveraged Finance debt origination. The group is fully integrated into the broader bank and will work closely with our product group and on a cross-border basis with groups in Europe and Asia.Work closely with ECM, DCM & M&A to organize our content and focus on the Software sector, including peers comps, trading activity and transaction compsKeep abreast of market developments, capital markets activity, M&A announcements and investor sentiment around software. Point person on the coverage team responsible for organizing and putting together client presentations, marketing materials and relevant pitches for new businessActively prospect and develop new client relationships, while also contributing to content generationConduct and model a broad range of corporate financing alternatives and due diligence for client transactionsFinancial modeling and valuation analyses as well as software specific analysis such as relevant KPI analysis Develop and participate in client pitches to advise on investment banking transactionsWork on/play a key role transaction executionBuild strong relationships with colleagues in Europe and Asia, and among the U.S. banking teams Profile requiredTechnical Skills:Proficient in financial analysis such as DCF, DEV, LBO, comparable companies, etc Expertise in all necessary software programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)Experience in working with MDS platforms, e.g. Bloomberg data, CapIQ, FactsetCompetencies: Strong oral and written presentation skillsAbility to work in a team structure as well as independently with initiativeCapacity to understand complex financial structures, strategy, and competitive positioningAbility to excel in a fast-paced, pressure orientated environment and deliver under tight deadlinesSolid understanding of software metrics, companies, and investorsExpectation to develop an expertise within sub-sectorsExperience Needed:At least 5-6+ years of prior relevant experience Preferred active deal experience within ECM and M&A sectorsEducational Requirements:Bachelors Degree or higher level from a competitive program with a preference for degrees in business, finance and/or accounting COMPENSATION:Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
