3. About the RoleAlsos is seeking a hands-on revenue-cycle executive who can combine deep Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operating expertise with real AI-building capability. The Vice President (VP) of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) leads enterprise revenue-cycle staff and functions, owns revenue-cycle performance across facilities, and personally drives the design and deployment of AI agents that move appropriate routine Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) work from manual queues into controlled production workflows.
This is not an AI-strategy-only position. A successful Vice President (VP) of Revenue Cycle Management (RMC) candidate will be able to show AI agents they personally built and put into production in revenue cycle, explain how those agents work, and demonstrate measurable results in quality, follow-through, collections, staff effort, or other Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) outcomes.
4. What This Role OwnsSet enterprise revenue-cycle priorities and operating architecture across people, process, technology, vendors, and automation in partnership with the CFO and cross-functional leaders.
- Lead enterprise revenue-cycle operations across billing, collections, denials, payer follow-up, medical-record requests, patient responsibility, and collectible receivables.
- Build, test, deploy, and improve AI agents that perform appropriate routine RCM research, preparation, payer follow-up, and authorized execution while preserving human judgment, approvals, and exception handling.
- Translate payer requirements into working procedures, decision logic, quality controls, and staff expectations.
- Strengthen claim follow-up, medical-record/prepayment-review, denial, credentialing, contracting-support, and service-to-cash reconciliation workflows.
- Lead revenue-cycle staff through measurable standards, workflow adoption, and performance accountability.
- Work across facility, clinical, utilization-review, authorization, finance, and technology teams to correct the operating causes of revenue loss.
5. What Success Looks Like - Within 90 days, establish a validated facility-level baseline, protect billing and collections continuity, deploy priority AI agents into live Revenue Cycle Managemet (RCM) work, and materially improve performance toward company revenue-leakage targets.
- Within 180 days, all facilities are expected to meet or beat their applicable revenue-leakage targets and priority agent workflows are operating consistently across important payers and facilities.
- Automation completes verified work - not just drafts - with fewer missed actions/errors, faster completion, less human preparation/tracking, and measurable collection or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) improvement.
- Preventable denials, unbilled aging, follow-up timeliness, collectible A/R, and cash realization show sustained improvement, with clear economics for further automation deployment.
6. Required Qualifications - At least five years of revenue-cycle management (RCM) experience and at least two years of people-management experience.
- Proven track record personally building and deploying AI agents in revenue-cycle operations and producing measurable operating or financial results.
- Ability to define Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes and payer rules, connect required information/systems, test workflows, design exception handling, and put automation into routine use.
- Strong working knowledge of billing, payer requirements, denials, receivables, collections, medical-record requests, and cross-functional revenue-cycle handoffs.
- Ability to use financial and operating data to diagnose revenue leakage, prioritize corrective action, verify results, and lead staff through operating change.
- Ability to work remotely and travel approximately once per month for Executive Week.
7. Preferred QualificationsHands-on implementation experience with revenue-cycle, clearinghouse, credentialing, denial-management, or authorization automation platforms, including evidence of what you personally configured, integrated, tested, and put into sustained operation.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Health Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience is welcome.
- Experience scaling AI-supported RCM workflows across multiple facilities, payers, or teams.
- Experience with payer portals, healthcare clearinghouses, denial automation, credentialing/contracting support, or comparable revenue-cycle technology workflows.
8. Who Will Thrive - A builder who can move from RCM problem definition to working agent, production controls, adoption, and measurable result.
- A hands-on operator comfortable with payer detail, financial measures, workflow design, and people leadership.
- A leader who treats automation as an operating system rather than a demonstration project.
- A manager who traces problems to root cause, works across departments to correct them, and protects current execution while changing how routine work gets done.
9. Not a Fit If... - Your AI experience is limited to general-purpose tools, vendor sponsorship, or experiments without production RCM agents you personally helped build in a substantive way.
- You prefer a strategy-only role without direct accountability for billing, collections, automation adoption, and staff execution.
- You measure success primarily through activity or write-offs rather than verified revenue-cycle outcomes.
10. Application InstructionsPlease submit a resume describing your revenue-cycle scope and people-leadership experience. Be prepared to discuss at least one AI agent you personally built and deployed in RCM, including your contribution, how it works, which decisions remain with people, and the measurable result.
