Full Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW

The VP, Franchise Development owns the full franchise sales lifecycle - from pipeline strategy and lead generation through franchise agreement execution. This executive will build and lead a high-performing development team, drive scalable systems, and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience. We are looking for a seasoned franchise sales leader with a track record of exceeding growth targets and operating at a strategic level in a fast-moving organization. Experience in health, wellness, or fitness is strongly preferred.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Own annual franchise sales strategy, targets, and key performance metrics.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the franchise development team, including Directors and supporting staff.
  • Build and continuously improve systems, processes, and infrastructure that support growth at scale.
  • Serve as a senior executive ambassador for Burn Boot Camp's brand, culture, and growth vision.
  • Ensure pipeline health, conversion performance, and candidate experience meet or exceed organizational standards.
  • Own the franchise development budget and allocate resources to maximize effectiveness and ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally at the executive level to align development with broader organizational goals.
  • Provide executive leadership with regular reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Franchise Development Leadership:
  • Lead and develop the franchise development team - including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning for Directors and supporting staff.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine franchise development systems, tools, and playbooks that drive efficiency, scalability, and team performance.
  • Own franchise development budget planning and management, ensuring resources are deployed effectively to support team performance and sales goals.
  • Oversee CRM strategy, pipeline reporting, and data integrity - delivering regular performance updates to the CDO and leadership team.
  • Uphold and champion Burn Boot Camp's culture, values, and brand standards while serving as a visible and influential leader within the organization.


Franchise Sales Strategy & Pipeline:
  • Own and execute the annual franchise sales strategy, including market prioritization, pipeline targets, lead generation approach, and conversion goals.
  • Oversee the full franchise development process from initial inquiry through agreement execution, ensuring a professional, consultative, and brand-aligned candidate experience.
  • Lead Confirmation Day strategy and execution, ensuring candidates are properly prepared, engaged, and positioned to make confident, informed investment decisions.
  • Develop and oversee a proactive franchise resale strategy, managing the full transfer lifecycle from seller exit planning through buyer qualification and ownership transition.


Growth, Expansion & Collaboration:
  • Partner with the CDO and executive leadership on long-term expansion strategy, territory development, market analysis, and competitive landscape to identify and prioritize high-opportunity growth markets.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with franchise partners, brokers, and consultants while representing Burn Boot Camp at industry expos, conferences, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with Real Estate, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Training leadership to ensure a seamless transition from franchise award through onboarding and opening preparation.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of franchise sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing franchise development teams.
  • Proven track record of exceeding franchise sales goals and scaling development operations in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Health, wellness, fitness, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Executive-level communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into execution.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and reporting at a department or functional level.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms; experience building CRM strategies preferred.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functionally across executive and senior leadership teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support team, candidate, and brand initiatives.
