Full Job Description
TFEC is seeking a Vice President of Finance & Investments to lead the organization's financial management, accounting, and investment management, as well as accounting and investment administration services TFEC provides to partner organizations. Reporting to the President & CEO and supervising the Controller (and Assistant Controller indirectly), this is a high-impact leadership role for a finance professional who wants their work to directly strengthen the philanthropic capacity of an entire region. What You'll Do • Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for TFEC and the partner organizations it serves. • Oversee investment performance and relationships with investment managers and custodian banks, in partnership with the Investment Advisory Committee. • Manage the annual audit and ensure timely, accurate tax and regulatory filings. • Maintain oversight of and administer TFEC's Charitable Remainder Trust and Charitable Lead Trust administration. • Oversee payroll processing. • Supervise and develop the Controller. • Serve as a trusted resource to the Board of Directors and its Finance, Investment, and Audit Committees. What We're Looking For • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred. • 7-10+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or financial management; nonprofit or foundation experience preferred. • Working knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and investment management principles. • Experience supervising staff and managing relationships with external financial and service partners. • A collaborative leader who brings sound judgment, discretion, and the highest ethical standards to their work.
