Position Overview

Due to business expansion, we are urgently seeking an experienced Vice-President to join our team. The successful candidate will provide senior management leadership for the company's international trade operations and market development activities. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in foreign trade, import/export operations, international market expansion, and senior-level business management.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Establish objectives for the company's international trade business and formulate or approve policies and programs related to sourcing, import/export operations, and overseas market development.
• Authorize and organize major functions and associated senior staff positions related to procurement, trade operations, logistics administration, export sales, and market development.
• Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement the company's trade strategies and programs, and establish financial and administrative controls to support effective business operations.
• Approve overall personnel planning for the company's international trade activities and participate in the selection of middle managers, directors, or other senior staff.
• Coordinate the work of major business functions involved in procurement, shipping, warehousing, export documentation, sales administration, and international customer development.
• Represent the company, or delegate representatives to act on its behalf, in negotiations and other official functions with suppliers, buyers, logistics service providers, and strategic business partners in Canada and abroad.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or above is required; a degree related to international trade, business, commerce, supply chain, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in foreign trade.
• Strong experience in import/export operations, international business development, and overseas market expansion.
• Proven experience in sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and trade logistics coordination.
• Strong ability to establish business objectives, allocate resources, and oversee trade operations at a senior management level.
• Experience in agricultural products, food commodities, or other internationally traded goods is an asset.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong cross-cultural business communication skills are an asset.
