Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a senior FX application support engineer with a solid background supporting FX front to back systems on a wide platform with various technologies. The individual will join the existing FXLM and Market Data US team in New York, which is part of a global organization. We work closely with Traders, Sales and Middle Office personnel locally and alongside a global development team. We coordinate vendor update and ensure a smooth transformation along the market data products used at BNP.

Responsibilities:

Support a complex a Global Production system architecture including the following FX eTrading and eCommerce Applications:

  • Single/Multi Dealer Platforms
  • Electronic Trading
  • Algorithmic Trading
  • Auto hedging
  • Cortex FX
  • Cortex Rates
  • Client Distribution Platform
  • Issuemaster
  • FX Payments

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and provide detailed and accurate reporting.
• Perform system installs, upgrades and configuration, whilst adhering to a rigorous change management process.
• Actively monitor systems, as well as performing periodic system checks and tests.
• Specifying requirements for bug fixes and system enhancements.
• Development of support tools, particularly those which automate manual checks.
• Delivering formal and ad-hoc training to users.
• Participate in an early (0700) and late (1900) shift, and on-call cover on a rota basis.
• Work closely with development team based outside of Americas to deliver the full digitalization of the platform

Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a numerate subject (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, etc...) required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Electronic Trading and Risk System Application Support
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated to work under own initiative whilst being a team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of FX business products and Electronic Markets.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (SQL Server and Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of Excel/VBA.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
• Knowledge of Networks, Market Data and messaging technologies (FIX, TCP/IP, TIBRV, MQ Series, Multicast).

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $145,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
