Full Job Description
The Vice President, Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence will be accountable for the organization's enterprise data platform, BI ecosystem, AI strategy, governance framework, and data product portfolio.

This role serves as a bridge between business strategy and technology execution, partnering closely with executive leaders across Operations, Clinical Care, Finance, Human Resources, Development, and Technology to deliver actionable insights and transformative AI-enabled solutions.

The position will lead a specialized team of Data Engineers, Data Architects, BI Developers, and Quality Assurance professionals.

How You'll Succeed:

  • Develop and execute a multi-year enterprise data and AI roadmap aligned to Sienna's strategic objectives.
  • Create and maintain an enterprise data strategy focused on quality, accessibility, governance, and business value.
  • Establish data as a product discipline that delivers measurable outcomes to business stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage analytics and AI to improve resident outcomes, workforce effectiveness, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Act as the executive sponsor for enterprise analytics initiatives and data modernization programs.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of Sienna's enterprise data platform using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Establish a scalable architecture supporting data engineering, real-time analytics, business intelligence, AI workloads, and self-service analytics.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of enterprise data products including:
    • Executive scorecards
    • Operational performance dashboards
    • Workforce analytics solutions
    • Clinical and resident insights platforms
    • Financial analytics solutions
    • Predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities
  • Drive adoption of modern data engineering practices including DataOps, CI/CD, automated testing, metadata management, and observability.
  • Lead enterprise reporting and visualization strategy utilizing Power BI.
  • Establish standards for dashboard design, metric governance, semantic models, and enterprise reporting.
  • Collaborate with the CTO to define and execute Sienna's Artificial Intelligence strategy.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement AI use cases that deliver measurable business value.
  • Lead the adoption of Microsoft Copilot technologies and AI-powered productivity solutions.
  • Evaluate and govern the use of large language models (LLMs) including Claude and other enterprise-grade AI platforms.
  • Develop frameworks for AI governance, responsible AI, security, privacy, compliance, and risk management.
  • Partner with business leaders to create AI-enabled workflows and intelligent automation solutions.
  • Establish enterprise data governance policies, standards, and stewardship processes.
  • Define data quality standards, monitoring capabilities, and remediation processes.
  • Lead master data management and metadata initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of data literacy and accountability across the organization.
  • Build, lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing analytics and AI organization.
  • Represent Sienna in industry forums, vendor partnerships, and strategic technology engagements.


Who you are:

  • Proven success building and executing enterprise data strategies.
  • Experience delivering modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Experience partnering directly with executive teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing large strategic initiatives and technology transformation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Enterprise, Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Platform services.
  • Experience developing Data warehousing and Lakehouse architectures.
  • Experience applying Data Governance and Data Quality Frameworks.
  • Applied experience using SQL, python, and DBT.
  • Experience working within healthcare, seniors living, or other regulated multi-site enterprise environments is considered an asset.
  • Advanced practical experience with Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and enterprise generative AI platforms including:
    • Prompt engineering and AI workflow design.
    • AI-assisted research, analysis, and knowledge management.
    • Agentic AI and business process automation.
    • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
