The Vice President, Client Partnerships, serves as the relationship owner for key clients, shaping strategic engagement plans, leading business growth, and ensuring exceptional delivery across all agency work. This role drives client satisfaction, oversees cross-functional teams, and plays a pivotal part in the agency's long-term strategic planning and revenue growth.

Description

Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary strategic lead and executive-level point of contact for key clients, fostering deep, long-term partnerships grounded in trust and results.
  • Develop and oversee strategic engagement plans that align with client business objectives and position the agency for account expansion.
  • Leverage agency-approved AI tools where appropriate to support market insight development, category monitoring, and proactive identification of opportunities.
  • Act as an advocate for clients within the agency, ensuring needs, expectations, and strategic priorities are communicated clearly and acted upon consistently.
  • Drive client satisfaction, retention, and renewal through proactive communication, deep category understanding, and strategic foresight.

Project Planning and Execution
  • Oversee the successful delivery of all client work, ensuring it meets strategic objectives, adheres to timelines, and maintains a high standard of quality.
  • Provide executive guidance and operational clarity to internal teams, partnering closely with Project Management to ensure day-to-day project execution is smooth and efficient.
  • Use agency-approved AI tools to support visibility into project health, documentation accuracy, and resource planning insights.
  • Lead key client meetings, presentations, and status updates to align on expectations, progress, and strategic next steps.
  • Ensure project teams have clear direction, context, and strategic framing to deliver work that advances client business goals.

Strategic Leadership
  • Provide senior-level strategic counsel to both clients and internal teams, shaping marketing initiatives grounded in data, insight, and business outcomes.
  • Use agency-approved AI tools to support high-level insight gathering, audience exploration, competitive reviews, and scenario modeling, while applying experienced judgment to translate insights into strategy.
  • Contribute to the agency's long-term strategic planning efforts, identifying areas for growth, innovation, and competitive differentiation.
  • Partner with the VP of Client Engagement and agency leadership on positioning, prospecting, proposal development, and major pitch strategies.
  • Lead quarterly and annual planning efforts for client accounts, ensuring strategies are proactive, scalable, and aligned to client business objectives.

Financial and Operational Management
  • Own client profitability across assigned accounts, overseeing budgets, forecasts, and revenue projections to ensure strong financial performance.
  • Final review of SOWs for executive review before client delivery, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment with agency standards.
  • Use agency-approved AI tools where helpful to support forecasting, resourcing models, and identification of operational efficiencies.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process optimization and operational improvement across account teams and cross-functional partners.

Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead, mentor, and empower the Client Partnerships team, guiding performance, development, and long-term career growth.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively across the Client Partnership and Project Management teams to ensure clear ownership and workflow efficiency.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for internal and external challenges, providing clarity and direction to remove roadblocks.
  • Use agency-approved AI tools where appropriate to support team training materials, knowledge-sharing frameworks, and operational documentation.
  • Foster a culture of strategic thinking, accountability, and collaboration across the client leadership team.
