Job Description:Current Global is looking for a curious, ambitious and collaborative Vice President to lead work across lifestyle and CPG brands specifically focusing on brands and programs that intersect with sports, entertainment and culture. In this role, you will spearhead high-profile, award-worthy, earned-driven integrated activations that connect brands with culture and audiences in meaningful ways.
You will lead large, complex pieces of business, overseeing multiple workstreams and teams while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a strong partner to agency and inter-agency teams. You will be responsible for building and strengthening client relationships, identifying opportunities to grow the business, and ensuring the work consistently meets a high creative and strategic standard.
The successful candidate will bring deep experience developing consumer and sports-focused programs, a genuine curiosity about culture and audiences, and a relentless drive to make the work better. You are a natural connector and collaborator who can inspire teams, navigate complexity, build trust with clients and bring together talent across practice areas, disciplines and geographies. Most importantly, you know how to turn a strong idea into work that earns attention, creates impact and moves brands forward.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead the business and the work. Serve as a day-to-day account lead across clients, interagency partners and internal teams, establishing the vision for big, creative programs and driving successful implementation across multiple workstreams.
- Develop integrated, multichannel programs. Partner with specialist teams across Earned Media, Creative, Strategy, Digital and other disciplines to develop ideas and activations that address client objectives and connect brands with audiences across culture, entertainment, sports and other relevant passion points.
- Be the driving force behind execution. Closely manage client-approved programs from strategy through implementation, maintaining a clear understanding of status, dependencies and considerations; anticipate roadblocks and proactively develop and implement solutions.
- Lead teams and foster excellence. Provide clear direction and counsel to teams across CX and specialist partners, ensuring work is polished, strategically sound, on time and on budget. Identify development opportunities and coach junior talent to help team members reach their full potential.
- Serve as a trusted client advisor. Understand client business challenges and translate them into thoughtful, strategically sound deliverables. Build strong client relationships and demonstrate deep knowledge of the client's business, competitive landscape, audiences and broader enterprise.
- Drive business growth. Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships, deepen agency partnerships and contribute to new business efforts.
- Own financial management. Manage complex client budgets, including resource allocation, reconciliations, invoicing and ongoing financial oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 9-12 years of agency experience
- Understanding of integrated agency teams (Earned Media, Digital, Strategy, Creative)
- Experience developing programs around sports, entertainment or other cultural passion points
- Experience negotiating, managing and activating partnerships and talent on behalf of brands
- Can promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational functions
- Can handle multiple deliverables at once
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and always focus on problem solving
- Outstanding communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in sculpting and telling a cohesive story
NYC Salary Range: $125,000-$165,000.
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
$135,000 - $170,000
Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
